Stuck at home on Saturday

...but that's ok.

I left work early yesterday to meet the plumber at my house, and he ended up calling to say he wasn't going to make it because the job he's on is taking longer than expected. That was ok, 'cause if he was here working and the job was taking longer than expected, I'd want him to stay and finish. I wouldn't want to hear, "Oops! Got another job to go to. I'll be back two weeks from Thursday."

So he called my cell phone this morning when I was out, and I told him I'd be home by about 10:00. He said he'd be here some time after that. It's almost 1:30 now, but I guess no matter what time he shows up, it'll be some time after 10, so he wasn't lying. It's no emergency, so I don't even care if he doesn't make it today either.

At least the phone line got fixed yesterday, so I have 'net access again. (DSL, not dial-up!)
The first thing I saw when I got back online was Friday the 13th wasn't exactly Tim Russert's lucky day.
