Yay, Patrick Family!
Jun. 12th, 2008 05:17 pmBreaking news! So somebody says. I'm happy for Katherine, that she has a family that accepts her as she is, though my first thought when I got to the part where her father said, "'Well, we love you no matter what," was that he was sort of saying, "Well, we love you anyway," which isn't the same thing. It's possible that my perception may be tainted by all the bad stories I've read and heard.
The best part: "And we also ... wanted people to know that it's not only something that we accept, but it's something that we’re very proud of. It's a great aspect of our lives and there's nothing about it that is shameful or that we would want to hide."
In other news, George W must be really disappointed that his very own Supreme Court ruled that Guantanamo prisoners actually have rights, though the effect of the ruling remains to be seen.
I'm updating from work (after hours, of course!) because our phone line at home is broken, so I can't count on the DSL to be working tonight. Hopefully it'll be fixed pretty soon.
