leftbaseFor at least a couple of years after he "left" and claims to have had nothing to do with Bain Capital's operations, he was still listed on paper as "the sole shareholder, sole director, Chief Executive Officer and President of Bain Capital."
This compares well with my memory of him, which may be a little off on the time line, but it goes a lot like this. In 2005 and 2006, I seem to remember him traveling all over the country campaigning for a future presidency, knocking this state and appearing to want nothing to do with us. And all the while he was still listed on paper as "Governor of Massachusetts."
