Respect? Maybe it's not really a school subject, and it should be taught at home, but obviously it isn't. In many cases. So that, and sex education. Not enough of that is talked about at home either.

I think there'd be plenty of time in school for these if they'd quit having to teach how to pass standardized tests.

-Updated, practical applications of math that you would actually use in your everyday life: statistics, 101 of credit and borrowing, student loans/mortgage background, household/personal budget balancing, simple tax return explanation and examples.

-Comprehensive sex education

-Comprehensive history that includes countries other than the US or Europe and people other than white men.

-Science, including an emphasis on the actual definition of a scientific theory versus the layman's definition of a theory

-A second (or third) language before middle school/high school because you have a better chance at learning and retaining said language the younger you are (heck, let's go for full bilingual immersion)
