Something weird going on...
Sep. 22nd, 2009 11:58 pmThere's some HTML code appended to my writer's block entry about cheating, so I made the entry private until I either find out what it is, or until I can make it go away and stay away. Ever heard of simplecdn.net?
I removed it and saved it in a text file, and wrote to livejournal support about it. A few minutes later, it was back. And the tags are gone.
I feel violated!

The response from lj was quick. Hopefully the fix will be, also:
Thank you for your report. The issue you reported appears to be due to someone posting a Flash file containing an exploit to the site. We've since disabled the display of embedded content until we can resolve this issue. We will post to lj_releases [http://community.livejournal.com/lj_releases] when we've determined the cause of this issue. In the meantime, you can edit the affected post(s) to remove this code and to re-set their security levels.
We take security seriously, and we will share more information as to what happened as soon as we have it available. This issue is our staff's top priority, and we are working very hard to fix it as quickly as possible.
