Entry #600!

We took my car when we went out to breakfast this morning because I needed to buy gas. It was $2.779 at Hess in Bellingham - best price around here currently.
Looking at the shelf-and-a-half of unread books to my right, I'm reminded that I really need to pick up the pace. I used to read one or two books a week. That was before Livejournal, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it.
Really.
It's sad that about the best news they can come up with on the Fiasco In Iraq is that civilian deaths are down 36%. Yes folks, 1227 Iraqi civilians killed in June represents a 36% drop from the month before. Now isn't that encouraging?
When Jackie bought a new minivan (new to us, not brand new) a couple of months ago, the dealer said it was equipped with a Sirius satellite receiver, but I wasn't sure I believed it because nothing we can see on the radio makes it apparent. Well, this morning Jackie mentioned that she was playing around with the buttons and discovered that it's true and it actually works, even though we don't subscribe. I sort of wonder who's paying for it.
Time to get some sleep!
