it wasn't so...unfunny. Or maybe if it wasn't hitting me in the wallet.

One of the first news links that caught my eye this morning: 'Bush warns against price gouging on gas'

Yesterday evening we drove by the Citgo station in Bellingham, where I usually buy my gas. With just a little over a quarter of a tank left, the plan was to stop and fill up. The price was $2.749 which sadly is the best around but the lines of cars waiting were out in the street. Jackie said "Want to just get it tomorrow?" and I said "Yeah" and we didn't stop.

Now just watch - I'll go by there this morning and it'll be like three bucks, and still be the best price around.
