Yesterday when I was out using the gas grill, one of my neighbors was out on her deck, and when I looked over there I couldn't exactly see her. You know how when you look at a bright light or a camera flash, you can't see something clearly when you look straight at it for a little while? It was kind of like that, only I hadn't just looked at a bright light. Then when I got back inside the house I was seeing all these wavy, flashy lines and I remembered that this was my dad's description of the onset of a migraine headache, which I, thankfully, have never experienced. I took some aspirin and hoped like hell that the headache wouldn't come on, and it didn't.
Is that really how migraines start?
