I like having it because it's so much faster than DSL, but some of the things that come with it are pains in the ass.
Last night, a process kept running over and over, sometimes two or three instances at once, that took up to 100% of the processor and caused the things I was doing to pause. It was getting on my nerves, and I found out that bcont_nm.exe was from Supportsoft, which I guess was where the Verizon Download Manager came from. So I uninstalled that and the problem went away.
Then there's the Verizon Toolbar that I don't want. Every now and then, the installer for that pops up, and if I decline the installation, another box pops up every minute or two to tell me some program that's trying to run isn't compatible with this 64-bit version of Windows. So now I accept the installation and live with the toolbar for a while, until I get tired of seeing it. Then I uninstall it. Then a month or two or three go by, and the cycle starts anew.
Some day soon, the installer for the Download Manager will reappear. I don't know what will happen if I decline that one, but I guess I'll find out.
