I'm not sure the governor will pick him, but Barney Frank wants to be the interim senator, if John Kerry gets confirmed as Secretary of State.

Of course he'll be confirmed. He has "bipartisan support."

Of course he has bipartisan support. The Democrats support him because he's a Democrat. The Republicans support him for no other reason than because he's a Democrat vacating a Senate seat.
