Never Forget

What I said on the second anniversary, when this journal was barely a month old, still applies. Only now, sadly, there are so many more people grieving, including the families of all the military service persons who have since died in Iraq and Afghanistan, and those of the heroic rescue workers and cleanup crews in New York who became ill and lost their lives just for doing their jobs, and many more. Of course my heart goes out to all of them also.
ETA: After re-reading this entry, I noticed it may give the impression that it's only the lost American lives that I care about. Not true. The 'many more' include the Iraqi and Afghan civilians who have been needlessly killed. Anyone who has been reading this journal long enough to have seen my Toyota/Iraq anniversary posts probably knows how I feel about that whole unnecessary mess. Just wanted to clarify, if needed.
