This morning, the 20th of January, on my way to work, in the middle of a slush-covered street, with snow-covered ground all around, I saw a bird pecking at something. It hopped to the side as I approached. It was, for sure, a robin. Such a sighting is usually taken to mean spring is here, or right around the corner.
On this, the morning of Barack Obama's inauguration, some may see it as a sign.
I see it as a sign that there's a reason for the expression, "bird brain."
