Isn't it pretty?

I left work early today because of the snow and because my boss was (and probably still is) in Baltimore and because everybody was saying how bad the roads were. And because I can work at home.

It's the first substantial snowfall of the season and everybody has forgotten how to drive in the stuff except me.

SmarTraveler said the drive on the interstate is taking four times its normal time, so I took all side roads. Four times the normal time would have been about two and a half hours, and I made it home in two, so I guess I gained a little time doing it this way. Jackie's in Maine. I wonder what it's like up there.

Now I'm waiting for our plow guy to come and do the driveway, after which I'll go out and move the cars and brush them off and shovel where they're parked now and by the door. I hope he waits 'til most of the snow's done falling before he shows up.

I guess I should do some of the work I brought home...
