Jul. 10th, 2005 11:52 pmI read The Boston Globe, you know, that liberal rag, nearly every day, but we also get the local paper for town news. Today, the local paper gave out free copies to seemingly everybody in town, which I guess is a good way to try to attract more customers, but it seems a bit wasteful to be giving extra copies to their existing subscribers, of which I'm sure there are many. This is something that may be worth mentioning to them the next time there's a price increase.
Wow, today was such a beautiful day, though some may think it was too hot, and a few of my neighbors never even came out of their houses. Their free papers are still in their driveways.
While riding my bike today, I passed by a house that had no fewer than ten newspapers scattered about the driveway, including two copies of today's Milford paper. I hope the people are away on vacation and not, like, dead or something. Usually people who go away make arrangement to have their papers picked up, don't they?
