Even though we all knew Terri Schiavo was going to die, I was saddened when it happened. It should be a relief for everybody, especially her, but I think it'll be a while before we'll have heard the end of this story. Now I think the pope is on his way out.

Today in the Globe, Jackie MacMullan wrote about Katie Hnida, whose claims of harrassment and rape I have always believed. In this SI article in February 2004, she said she isn't suing or pressing charges, but in the article today she said she hasn't ruled out pressing charges against the teammate who allegedly raped her. Of course she has to do what she feels is right for her, but the idea of him getting away with it pisses me off. Hopefully she'll find the strength to turn her alleged rapist into a convicted one.

My 'net connection is funky tonight. For some reason, many pages won't load or it takes two or three tries to get them. Hope it's just temporary.
