It's going to be a long four years.

There's never any good news in politics anymore, but I was glad to hear this today. It seems that the president doesn't have enough support even from his own party to push his social security scheme through. I just hope it's true. There were many news headlines yesterday about him 'hitting the road' to push the issue, and I heard later that the five states he visited were all states that he won in November that also have Democratic senators who are up for reelection next year. It's like he's saying vote for this or you'll be out of a job pretty soon.
