About the abuse of Iraqi prisoners
May. 7th, 2004 11:46 pmI think it's disgusting and infuriating. And embarrassing. I read somewhere that the Red Cross has been reporting incidents for like a year now, but it doesn't seem that much was done about it all this time. Funny how things change when suddenly there are pictures all over the place.
Though the apologies are owed, the people they're directed at aren't very receptive to them. I'm getting tired of reading about them over and over again, too. Are Donald Rumsfeld's days as Defense Secretary numbered? Sure, but I don't think it's a small number. The democrats are calling for his resignation, but the republicans won't give them the satisfaction. At least not 'til after election day.
Are George Bush's days as Commander-In-Chief numbered? Of course. But is the number 258 or is it 1719? That's up to us.
