Even opponents
Mar. 31st, 2004 12:02 amof same-sex marriage should be a little upset about this, but I don't know if they are. I couldn't find a news story about it, and I didn't even look for the video. All I saw were some letters to the editor in Tuesday's Boston Globe. Here is one of them:

While I'm on the subject, the latest news here in Massachusetts, now that the first step toward a constitutional amendment has been taken, is that the governor is still trying to prevent the issuing of marriage licenses in May, and the attorney general is trying to stop him from preventing them. Even though the attorney general is himself opposed to same-sex marriage, he's doing his job by trying to uphold the ruling of the court, and I commend him for that.
