Writer's Block: Ain't Easy Being Green

[Error: unknown template qotd]

I recycle bottles and cans and jars and paper as much as I can. I honor the request that reads "Please consider the environment before printing this email" that appears on my work email messages. I turn off the light when I leave a room. I try not to spend too much time in the shower.

I wish people would be more recycle-conscious. Every day at work I see plastic bottles and recyclable paper in the trash. And speaking of bottles, I wish the bottled water insanity would stop right this minute.

There's more, no doubt, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Truth be told, what I'm doing is not enough.

Me too...it annoys the hell out of me when we have people staying here that they throw out the recyclables into the trash. It's like "You guys have been visiting us for years. You know we recycle here." I've had darling tell them not to throw out stuff in the trash that's recyclable since we recycle. However, they still do it. It's annoying. I'm about to make a sign in English, Swedish, and Polish that says "Please recycle. Don't put glass, cans, and plastic in the trash can. Thank you."

It's even more annoying when some of these people crush the cans because many cans that are made here are refundable. We can't get money back for them if they're crushed.
