For years, I hated my name. Rose -- it was so old-fashioned. I even tried going by my middle name for a while, but I never could get used to turning my head when someone called "Eden". Now I love my name, both first and middle. Rose was my great-great grandmother. "Eden" was what Bar Harbor was called when it was first settled, where all my paternal ancestors settled. So I feel all kinds of deep roots connected to my name.
(There was a while there that I wished my name were Phoebe or, believe it or not, Phlox).

You have good reasons to love your name, with the family history and all, and I'm glad you do.
It's way better than Phlox in any case. :)
