Common sense would dictate...
I've seen that phrase many times but I don't think I've ever used it. There's a first time for everything.
When you're packing everything away in the shed for the winter, common sense would dictate that you'd leave the snow shovels near the door, or at least somewhere within easy reach. Well, common sense would dictate that now but it didn't dictate it back around November when the shed actually was getting all packed up.
We haven't really needed them yet, but after getting a couple of inches of snow last weekend, Jackie asked me where they were and I told her I'd get them out of the shed next time I was outside, and I forgot and she only remembered to remind me when we weren't at home, so I never went to get them until this morning before I left for work. I don't even know why I thought of it then.
It took me at least 5 minutes to spot them - way in the back where they're like totally unreachable without moving tons of stuff and/or climbing over things that probably shouldn't be climbed over, so of course I left them there. And it'll be dark when I get home, so I'll have to wait 'til the weekend to take care of this.
That's when I'll go to Lowe's and buy another one.
